I did my first B2B Barter Exchange trade in 1973. I needed a sound system and found a retailer who was willing to trade/barter a $375 system for advertising space in my very targeted monthly publication. How many times do you “give away” Intellectual Property, your products, or services for FREE? Would not you and your business benefit if you would barter something of value with another Small Business Owner—who had something of value to you—and could clearly generate a Return on Investment?
Today I personally Barter at any opportunity that presents itself.
Remember, however, you must report all Barters/Trades on your tax return; consult with you accounting advisor—and you know what? Maybe your CPA/Accountant will barter his/her services with you!
